Ship of State
Ship of State was formed after the announcement that Sydney’s iconic steel-hulled Freshwater-class ferries were to be retired and scrapped, with Oskar serving as design lead. Ship of State’s counter-proposal, A vision for the Freshwater ferry, detailed how one of these vessels could be repurposed as a series of spaces for collaboration, fabrication, and study while honouring its rugged and uncommonly democratic design.
